Mail Call: David Cronenberg!

What do I even need to say about David Cronenberg? He is one of the most iconic genre directors of all-time. The Fly, Scanners, Videodrome, The Dead Zone, Dead Ringers... the guy is a legend.

People have been trying to get Cronenberg to do a signing or convention for years. He was scheduled to do Texas Frightmare in 2020, but then 2020 happened lol. My pal Dominic Mancini finally made it happen. David was doing a signing in conjuction with Mintych Authentics. I have lots of stuff that I'd like Mr. Cronenberg to sign, but I was faced with a dilemma. There is a distinct possibility that he'll do a con in the somewhat near future. I'd love to be able to get my stuff signed in person if possible. But if I didn't send anything in, and he never does a con, I'd regret it until the day I die. So I decided to send in the one item I most wanted signed. The funny thing? It's not even for a film he directed! I've been working on this Nightbreed poster for a while now. Until recently, the only people (that are still on the radar) that I still needed were Mr. Cronenberg and Anne Bobby. Ms. Bobby has done a couple of conventions recently, but the timing has never worked out. I never thought I'd get Mr. Cronenberg to sign it, but now was my chance.

I think it turned out great. In addition to Mr. Cronenberg, it's signed by Clive Barker, Craig Sheffer, Danny Elfman, Doug Bradley, Nicholas Vince, and Simon Bamford. It is now one of my very favorite items in my entire collection. I really hope I can add Anne Bobby in the near future so I can get this bad boy in a frame!
